First on the list coming in at #3 TheBlackFriday.com
The site has all of the essentials you would expect, a list of ads that are already published graces the front of the home page making it easy to know what ads you can already peruse and start planning which stores to hit first. Then they list the ads that still haven't been published, soon just hold your horses! Then there is a nice little news section that gives you the 411 on all that is Black Friday 2009.
A highlight of this site is the hot link section across the top for the latest hot deals. They list some great deals that are going on now or are coming soon. Some of them are worthwhile and others are a bust depending on what you are looking for. I think it's some sort of sponsorship thing they have going with the site www.dealsofamerica.com but some of the deals are worthwhile and others are a waste of time.
The site gets an A+ for content but a D- for look and feel. The font colors are horrible and make the page seem cramped and just a mess, they don't stick to a theme which makes the page a horror to look at for a long time, and they have no organization of the content it looks like someone just threw it together over night.
Coming in at #2 BlackFriday.info
A very short concise site that gives you just what you want and nothing more, if all you are looking for is the ads and nothing to detract your attention from finding those amazing deals, then this site is the one you want to visit. The site has a simple layout with very little content, a short summary of the site is, a signup form for email alerts when new ads are posted, a news section and finally the ads that are posted. The developers do a good job not to overload you with content and even make the sections they do host shorter, if you want to see more news or more ads you have to click a link to expand the sections.
I like this site because they know what their users want, simple info that isn't hard to locate on the page. They also do a great job of sending you notifications when new content is submitted to the page, and so far haven't spammed me with junk. They also allow you to subscribe to RSS feeds for all of the ads so you will always have it right at your finger tips. Another cool thing they do is have contests and reward their users for using their site.
They also do a great job of posting ads and promos that are going on now at various stores.
Overall a good page, well layer out, easy to read and navigate, with good ways to view and share the content. I can't find much wrong with the way they have the content listed other than when you go to a specific ad and click on the link to an item it opens an entirely different page to view the content. If I want a new tab or page to open I will tell my browser to do it, I don't need the website to do it for me.
Other than that this site gets a B overall for the layout and content.
Finally the best site coming in at #1 BFADS.net
BFADS comes in at the number one spot because the site is all encompassing and so easy to navigate. BFADS has it all, ADS, News, rumored ADS, contests and prizes daily, a community area, and loads of other cool content. This site is always the first to list an AD, they have the best give-a-ways and contests, and they have the best design and ease of use out of any of the sites. Even big vendors like Dell and HP know the site is the best; they have given the site Laptops to give away in their contests.
I don't want to give the site to much praise but seriously when Black Friday gets close this is the first site I turn to. They have it all and are always on top when it comes to updating the fastest and getting the ads the soonest. Go check them out and make sure to sign up for the contests you might win!
