Black Friday Ads for Daylight Savings Time

Black Friday 2010 Deals Arrive Early

Stacey Doyle
Black Friday ads arrive early just as Daylight Savings time leaves. Tonight is the last day of Daylight Savings Time as clocks "fall behind" an hour for Standard time. Black Friday ads are ahead of schedule with incredible sales this weekend at Walmart, Best Buy, Kohls, Macy's, ToysRUs, Tanger Outlets and more.

When is Daylight Savings Time Over?

Daylight Savings time is official over on Sunday, November 7 at 2 a.m. The saying "spring forward, fall behind" reminds everyone how to set their clocks. For fall and winter, clocks will be turned behind one hour. Everyone gets an extra hour of sleep and the darkness of evening will creep in earlier. The long, languid nights of summer are definitely over until 2011.

Black Friday 2010 Ahead of Schedule

Daylight Savings Time is barely gone as Black Friday 2010 sales descend. With an almost 10 percent rate of unemployment and ongoing foreclosures, many consumers are pinching pennies. Black Friday gives people little time to budget for holiday gifts. Taking advantage of Christmas shopping deals in early November helps consumers avoid the mad rush.

Black Friday Ads This Weekend

Black Friday ads arrived this weekend with deep discounts on electronics, clothing, household items and other holiday gift list items. Here is a sampling of the Black Friday 2010 savings to score long before the day after Thanksgiving:

-Tanger Outlets invites consumers to "like" their Facebook page for deep discounts along with other technology updates for smart phone users to display coupons right at outlet locations.

-ToysRUs offered Kinect for Xbox 360 starting on Thursday with free shipping online and a bonus $20 gift card to get more for every dollar spent;

-Macy's, the Thanksgiving Parade people, has a shopping pass and great deals all weekend starting on Thursday;

-Best Buy "Shop Early, Save Big" electronics sales started on Friday and ends today;

-the Amazing Walmart Electronics Event started today and continues on Sunday for serious savings off those pricey electronics items everybody wants;

-Kohls printable shopping pass gets consumers 15 percent off with deals online and throughout stores from November 5 through November 7; and

-Target will get in on the Black Friday deals with a fantastic 4-day sale before Thanksgiving weekend from November 21 to November 24.

Black Friday Deals

Black Friday deals are just starting. Wise consumers buy two or three gifts every week rather than waiting until the last minute. Sales sprinkled throughout the pre-holiday season make it easier to save more. Black Friday 2010 is right around the corner and smart shoppers can avoid the rush by scoping out deals now.
