Black Friday Best Sales Deals on IPads and Tablets

Many of the Best Deals Are at Best Buy, but WalMart and Other Retails Might Also Have What You're Looking For

Everybody wants one and when better to buy an iPad or a comparable tablet than on Black Friday? The frenzied shopping day will see millions out and about trying to mark off items on their Christmas lists and it is a good shopping strategy to know where to find the best deals on the items wanted, including iPads and assorted tablets.

To help the savvy shopper intent on getting those best deals this Black Friday, MSNBC put together a list of electronics best deals on "Technolog," including those involving not only laptops and televisions, but also on various tablets. On some sites, like Gizmodo, the lists are more lengthy and detailed (and not only do they have a Black Friday Cheat Sheet, but they compile a daily list of deals for the searching gadget consumer). Another place to find a listing of good deals is at Lifehacker.

Finding the right tablet (or iPad) is usually an individualistic exercise (unless one is buying for someone else), so the abridged list below might not fit specific needs of the buyer. But if that is the case, the aforementioned sites and various other websites that cater to the price comparison-minded are recommended.

Some of the best deals on tablets can be found at:

Best Buy: Apple iPad 2 (16GB with Wi-Fi) for $455 (Normally $500)

Best Buy: 5" Samsung Galaxy Android Player with 8GB Memory for $230 (Normally $270)

Best Buy: 10.1" Toshiba Thrive Honeycomb Tablet for $280 (Normally $430)

Target: Amazon Kindle Keyboard 3G with "Special Offers" for $85 (Normally $99)

Staples: 7" Blackberry Playbook for $200 (Normally $500)

Remember to double-check Black Friday sales prices and item availability (especially electronics, as they are perennial shopping favorites) with respective retailers. Although some have a price match guarantee, such as WalMart, they generally do not honor Internet ads and sales prices that are the result of typos and/or misprints.
