Do you want to be as efficient as possible, thereby spending the least amount of time immersed in the Black Friday shopping frenzy? The official Black Friday sale ads typically appear in most major newspapers on Thanksgiving Day.
Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving when most retailers traditionally have their biggest sales of the year. A few webs sites offer advanced black Friday lists so that we, the shoppers can prepare well in advance. On these web sites, you can find oodles of black Friday sales lists for many nationwide stores, except this year you most likely will not find any from the retail giant Wal-Mart.
On Thursday October 18, 2007 Wal-Mart threaten to sue any web site that released it black Friday list of specials. Even with that threat, I wonder on which site that list will appear first. To read more click this link.
Wal-Mart and Target are usually in the lists as they are the largest discount retailers and so are Circuit City and Best Buy, the nation's two largest consumer electronics retailers.
Black Friday is also a huge day for internet retailers as well as offline stores. Black Friday, under this theory, is the beginning of the period where retailers would no longer have losses and instead take in the year's profits.
Black Fridays are known for chaotic shopping experiences with overcrowded stores offering highly discounted products catering to deal seekers. Black Friday is such a huge rush. Black Friday is the day retailers offer some of the biggest sales of the year, and shoppers line up in the early hours of the morning to be the first in the door to get the specials.
Black Friday however is the last day that I would go shopping for family gifts during the holiday season.
The past few years have seen the biggest discounts on electronics, popular toys, and computer items. Electronics are often the most sought after item and are often discounted to a sale price that are seen on any other day of the year. I have heard stories of shoppers grabbing two and three of the same electronic items for presents. Your favorite local stores will offer you their best prices on some of the most popular items of 2007.
You had better hurry quickly, because there are no rain checks on a black Friday. With no rain checks, which means once they run out of the products, you are out of luck.
