Black Friday Sales Coming Early to Fargo, North Dakota; Staying Late

Black Friday Deals Aren't Just for the Day After Thanksgiving Anymore

Fargo, ND--November 26, 2010 brings ample savings to local shoppers who are willing to stand in line early in the morning until stores open. But Fargo residents might not have to get up early this Black Friday to save money at their favorite stores. Due to consumer reports that they will be spending less money this year, stores are racing to get you through their doors for holiday shopping.

If this means starting Black Friday sales early and keeping them going all through December, then Black Friday sales are no longer just for the day after Thanksgiving.

"I hope our customers appreciate that we're trying to give them a deal before Thanksgiving. Not everyone wants to wait at the door, so this will be good for them," said the General Manager for Sears. They are giving local consumers a taste of these deals every weekend through December. Their goal is to give customers a chance to take advantage of low prices, while catching shoppers before the other stores.

This business plan makes a lot of sense. If they can catch holiday shoppers early, consumers won't spend as much money at competing businesses. Waiting until Black Friday reduces their odds of making the sale, since there is a chance that most consumers have completed their shopping elsewhere.

Keep your eyes and ears peeled for news of other Fargo stores with early Black Friday sales.
