Black Friday Shopping in Portland, OR

The turkey haze will nearly be worn off this Friday, November 23rd as millions of Americans drudge out during the wee hours of the morning to shop till they drop in a "Black Friday" frenzy. The sales are on and many stores are opening early. Here are the top places to shop in Portland, Oregon.

Jantzen Beach Super Center is a shopper's dream. The parking is great, and it is home to Barnes & Noble, Old Navy, Linens & Things, Pier One, Target, Burlington Coat Factory, Ross, Toys 'R' Us and dozens of other great stores. The mall will be open from 8am until 9pm, but many of the large department stores will open early. Toys 'R' Us will open at 5am, Target will open at 6am, and Old Navy will open at 5am. Another great place to shop will be the Lloyd center mall. This mall has parking garages, but come early as they fill up quickly. Marshall's, Sears, Macy's, Nordstrom's and many other stores can be found here. Sears will open at 5am, Radio Shack will open at 6am, and Macy's will also open at 6am. If you want to get the deals, but do not want to get up at three in the morning this Friday, then log onto websites such as www.black-friday.net. At this site, you can view the ads for the Friday sales, and link to the store websites where in many cases you can snag the deals without even leaving the house.

If you just cannot make it out on Friday, do not despair. Many retailers are stretching their sales and incentives to make for a longer shopping season. Check out stores such as Circuit City and Wal-Mart to get great seasonal deals (without having to get up at the crack of dawn).
