To find that racism existed no more.
I awoke from a bad dream
to realize this was just but a dream
within a dream.
I awoke from a nightmare
And a golden light
Led me to a land where racism
Was dead to the earth I walked.
I awoke from a dream
To find I was walking
Onto a nightmare
Where slavery never ended,
And as I walked down the nightmare street
God spoke to me
And said
This is the world of today,
But tomorrow my son
The sun will shine upon all men
And women,
And I will erase racism
from their lips and hearts
And everything shall be as it was before.

Post a CommentVery excellent article.
From your lips to humanity's ears! I just had this very conversation with my granddaughter this morning. Saying to her, "You are not allowed to hate someone for something they can never change, their race." Well done.
Shades of MLK. Nicely done.
