Coming to live in the Pasadena community was super exciting with all sorts of well known Historical Sites and many places to go like the Norton Simon Art Museum, Huntington Library, The Wrigley Mansion, the Rose Parade, and the Black History Parade. Pasadena's Black History Parade was then and still today is an anticipated memorable day of celebrations that I look forward to attending practically every year. I have marched in the Parade and I have cheered on the participant's that march and represent the History which stands.
Following the Parade, "The Jackie Robinson Center" hosts a day of celebrations in the Jackie Robinson Park. It's exciting and it display's Black History with an array of Black Talent. They have Awards & Recognitions, Arts & Crafts, local Musicians, and Television Personalities. There's lots of Singing, Dancing, and eating really good Soul Food, great people to meet with warm hugs, having Family Fun.
Pasadena's Black History Parade and Events are not only a celebration of Black History, but of all History.
This will be Pasadena's Black History Parade's 28th Anniversary and I invite you all to come and share in a day full of fun, food, and fantastic entertainment.
