Jayne Kennedy, (Born Jayne Harrison, October 27, 1951 in Washington, D.C.) an up and coming model was the first African American woman to be crowned 1970 Miss Ohio USA. Later that same year she became one of the 15 finalists for the Miss USA pageant.
In 1978, Kennedy was the first woman to break the barrier of the male-dominated world of sports announcing as an in-studio analyst for The NFL Today pre-game show on CBS.
In 1981, she became the first African American actress to appear on the cover of Playboy magazine.
