Black History Treat: Robert K. Noble

Ronald K. Noble now serving in his third five-year term as INTERPOL's General Secretary, at age 44 became the youngest ever to be elected to that post, and the first American. INTERPOL, headquartered in Lyon, France, is the largest international police organization in the world, with 188 member countries. The General Secretary's role is to oversee the day-to-day international police co-operations, and serve as the organization's chief official.

Mr. Noble, a graduate of the University of New Hampshire, with a BA in Economics and Business Administration, and Stanford Law School formerly served as the Undersecretary for Enforcement of the US Department of the Treasury, heading the US Secret Service, ATF, the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, the Office of Foreign Asset Control, and the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network.

Besides his native English, Mr. Noble also speaks, French, Spanish, and German.
