Black Radiance Radiant Lip Gloss in Patent Pink

The Pen
I've been into wearing lipstick lately, but since the weather has warmed up, I've bought a few lip glosses this season.

I recently decided to buy Black Radiance's Radiant Lip Gloss in the Patent Pink color, because it's a very girly, feminine shade that I thought was perfect to wear during the summer. I wasn't sure if the color would work for me but since the Black Radiance gloss is pretty cheap, I was willing to experiment. I bought a tube from CVS for $2.99.

The gloss comes in a c-thru wide rectangular tube with gold accents. The Patent Pink shade is a bright bubble gum pink color that's full of sparkling pink shimmer. It reminds me of something that Paris Hilton would wear. Black Radiance Radiant contains ingredients like jojoba and castor seed oils, as well as vitamin E.

I tried on the Patent Pink gloss as soon as I got home, and I was kind of disappointed with it. I just don't think this bright pink color is for me. It does nothing for my golden brown skin.

Rosy pinks tend to look really good on me, but Patent Pink is a little bit too cool and too bright for me to wear. The only way that I could really pull off this shade of gloss off, is if I paired it with a lot of other makeup.

Even if Patent Pink did look great on me, I still wouldn't be a big fan of this shade of Black Radiance Radiant gloss. It's a bit too sparkly, bright, and Barbie doll-like to suit my tastes.

Plus the gloss itself just feels gross. It goes on really thick and heavy and it has a plastic feel that made my lips feel like they were suffocating. It feels like it will stay on forever even if you eat or drink, and will leave a gross residue behind. It's also extremely sticky so it's one of those glosses that will make your hair stick to it on a windy day.

In the End...

I personally won't be buying anymore tubes of Black Radiance's Radiant Lip Gloss because of the heavy goopy texture. But Radiant does come in really pretty shades for cheap, so if I had to recommend the Patent Pink shade, I would only suggest fair skinned blondes attempt to wear this color. This bright pink would only work for them. I give Radiant 2.5 out of 5 stars.
