Black Snake Moan: Please Go See This Film!!!!!!!

QUICHE
Samuel L. Jackson, Christina Ricci, Justin Timberlake, and David Banner. I didn't think this movie was going to be that great, but I was so wrong. One thing needs to be said about Sam L, he can make you laugh, cry, and want run for cover all in the same movie, he is such a versatile actor. This is the most controversial role that Christina Ricci has played since her role in Monster and, for the majority of the movie her wardrobe is a cut off top with white bikini underwear, and the dialog whew!!!!!

Black Snake Moan is about a man named Las(Samuel L. Jackson), whose wife just left him for another man. Needless to say his life is not going well for him at all, but when he plays his guitar it's like nothing can break his spirit, the guitar understands his struggle and is there for him to blare out the tunes when needed. This is only one of the many parts of this film I liked, because there are things in life that give you the blues, but if you have a positive outlet the blues change to a different hew. While walking one day Las runs into Ray(Christina Ricci)by chance. She is a troubled soul who suffers from a not so uncommon addiction and there is only one way for her to satisify it.

Throughout the movie people want to know why Las has her chained, telling you would spoil it trust me. Suffice it to say that it is for his own protection as well as others. Justin Timberlake had a very good performance in this movie, as Ray's boyfriend. A little on the wuss side is what I would call him, but when it comes to Ray he would fight to the death. I would really love to see more acting from him, because his character was believable. He was also dealing with a severe problem of his own, and Ray is the only one who can make him feel safe. David Banner plays a thug with a conscience who is an acquaintance of Ray's. He isn't in very many scenes, but his screen presence is wonderful. He is a very good actor and I hope that he persues more of a film career. In my opionion there has never been a premise for a film like this before, and it is so hard for people to come up something new when it comes to a film, because it seems as though everything has been done, but honestly this one truly blew me away. Go see this film you will not be disappointed. When rating this movie I would give it an A- hands down.

This is a great movie. At first I didn't want to see it when I saw the preview of Samuel L. Jackson and Christina Ricci chained together. I thought it would be degrading. Justin Timberlake actually did a fine job acting in the movie as well. I must say this is one you should never judge by its cover(preview).
