"Black Swan" Natalie Portman is Engaged and Pregnant

Another surprise celebrity shocker is..drum roll please - Natalie Portman is engaged and pregnant. The 29-year-old actress is expecting her first child with Benjamin Millepied. They confirmed the news to People Magazine. The couple met while filming "Black Swan".

The actress has continually enthralled audiences with her naive look and powerfully big performances. Her most notable and diverse role being in 1994's "The Professional." She went on to have a thriving and successful acting career since.

Not only is Portman a beautiful soul and an above and beyond actress, but she is also a Harvard graduate. In 2003, she completed her degree in psychology. That's what people love about her, she is grounded and realizes that life isn't just about "being famous".

Her next film is a romantic comedy (rom-com) with Ashton Kutcher in "No Strings Attached." Millipied is a 33-year-old dancer for the New York Ballet. Because of this, he was given a small role on "Black Swan" where he met Portman.

Portman was born on June 9, 1981 in Jerusalem, Israel. She is an only child, and her mother is an artist, and her agent. She grew up in Washington and New York, where she still lives today.

She was discovered by an agent at a pizza parlor, when Portman was just 11. Those around her pushed her into the modeling world, but she decided acting was for her. Her powerful debut in "The Professional" put her on the map and showed the world that age can't restrain talent. Many argue that her fame didn't actually arrive until 1999 when she played Queen Amidala in "Star Wars" Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace," but those who saw her previous debut, know otherwise.
