Black Wedding Favors

The gift of giving wedding favors is a tradition that has been around for centuries. These gifts are usually small and are given to the wedding party by the bride and groom to show their appreciation. The wedding favors can be given during the actual wedding ceremony or during the wedding reception. The first wedding favors that were given centuries ago were thought to be small trinket boxes filled with sugar cubes or small candies. Later the candies were replaced with almonds or candy coated almonds. Today, the wedding favors given to the bridal party can be just about anything. Many couples like to give out personalized gifts to their party and will usually relate to the choice of decor used at the reception or ceremony.

Black wedding favors are a huge hit for modern weddings. Gothic weddings also like to use black throughout them. Small, black favor boxes can easily be found at many wedding supply stores and even at some stationary stores. These make perfect wedding favors for both of these styles of weddings. The black boxes are usually filled with candied almonds and placed at the tables used in the reception. These boxes can have the persons name printed onto it and used as a place holder at the table. After the reception is over the person that received the small gift will have a keepsake to remember the occasion for years.

Candles are another type of wedding favor that many couples are starting to give to their wedding party. There are many small, glass candle holders that are created with black scroll work on them. These candle holders can come personalized and the printed names usually are in silver or white. When a black satin bow is tied around the candle holder it makes it an elegant black wedding favor.

Personalized notepads are wonderful little keepsakes that the bride and groom can use as wedding favors. These notepads can come in black to match the wedding and many have the bride and grooms name, as well as wedding date, printed onto them.

Mint tins are another popular wedding favor. These are given by the bride and groom to show their wedding party appreciation for being part of their big day. These black wedding favors match the rest of the ceremony perfectly. Many of the mint tins come personalized with the wedding date and bride and grooms name on them.
