Features

The Blackberry 8320 Curve Titanium MyFaves Phone is available through T-Mobile. It offers simultaneous use of Wi-Fi and mobile calling, allowing the user to transition between Wi-Fi calling and T-Mobile's wireless network while in a call.

In addition to a Wi-Fi connection, the 8320 also provides access to email, text messaging, picture messaging and GPRS/EDGE services. The 8320 offers real web browsing, allowing for web content to be delivered efficiently to the device. The 8320 can be used to send and receive instant messages with Yahoo!, MSN, AOL or ICQ messenger programs.

The 8320 features a 2.0 megapixel camera, allowing users to take high-quality pictures that can be enlarged and printed. The 8320 also offers a micro SD memory slot for more storage of multimedia files and other data files. The 8320 also includes a music player, so users can play their favorite music wherever they take their 8320.

The 8320 supports Bluetooth wireless technology, allowing users to connect their phone to a wireless headset. The 8320 also offers speakerphone for added convenience when users need to keep their hands free.

The 8320 is myFaves capable, so a user may get unlimited any-network calling to 5 people with a myFaves plan. The 8320 can be used in any countries were T-Mobile provides service.

The 8320 weighs 3.9 ounces, and its dimensions are 2.4 x 4.2 x 0.6 inches. Its battery provides up to 4 hours of continuous talk time and up to 17 days of standy time.

The 8320 retails at $449.99, but with a new plan with T-Mobile, it can be purchased for $249.99.

Comparison

The 8320 has features similar to those offered by the T-Mobile Wing. However, the Wing also features a video camera, and the Wing allows users to synchronize the device with their calendar on Outlook on their personal PC or laptop. The Wing also supports Windows Media® Player. The Wing is slightly larger than the 8320, weighing 6 ounces and measuring 2.3 x 4.3 x 0.7 inches. Given these added features, the Wing may be a better choice, depending on the user's own personal needs. However, the Wing is slightly more expensive than the 8320. The Wing currently retails at $499.99, and can be purchased for $299.99 with a new plan.

The T-Mobile Blackberry 8800 and the 8320 offer similar features. However, the 8800 offers calendar synchronization with Outlook and supports conference calling. The 8800 is slightly larger than the 8320, weighing 4.7 ounces and measuring 4.5 x 2.6 x 0.6 inches. The 8800 is significantly more expensive than the 8320, retailing at $549.99, and selling for $349.99 with a new plan.

The 8320 offers nearly as many features as both the Wing and the Blackberry 8800, for less money. Given the lower cost and the many features of the 8320, the 8320 is a great value.
