BlackBerry Bold 9700 - Features and Functionality Review

William Bass
Research in Motion today announced the future release of the newly designed BlackBerry Bold 9700 Smartphone to compete with the other smartphones on the market. BlackBerry Bold 9700 provides advanced high-end communications and multi-media features in a small compact phone for both men and women and for both professional and personal use.

The BlackBerry Bold 9700 Smartphone supports the 3G HSDPA cell networks established around the globe, a highly sophisticated (624 MHz) processor, 256 MB Flash memory, built-in GPS and Wi-Fi capabilities, a 3.2 mega-pixel camera with amazing display of pictures and videos. The Smartphone will work wonderfully with T-Mobile and AT&T 3G networks providing superior performance and lighting speeds for surfing the Internet or sending of files. The 624 processor will enhance the operational efficiencies in providing superior speeds to your Bold 9700.

The new BlackBerry Bold weighs only 4.3 ounces and designed to be compact and robust for everyday use. The Bold 9700 uses the BlackBerry Operating System 5.0 that provides improved browsing experience as well as faster processing for CSS and JavaScript. The 9700 BlackBerry comes with GPS built-in for maps and other location apps to allow you to find where you're at and where you're going. The Bold will feature a track pad instead of the traditional trackball found on older models of Blackberry's.

As an owner of the BlackBerry Bold 9700 you will get access to the BlackBerry Application World where you can add additional functionality and programs on your Smartphone. One cool feature is an improved keyboard that allows for faster and more accurate typing on the keyboard.

The BlackBerry 9700 has a leather backing and chrome face to give it an elegant but professional look and feel. You can do just about anything from this device such as browsing the Internet, banking, improve productivity, manage your calendar and numerous application that can make your life simpler and faster.

The BlackBerry Bold 9700 is due for retail markets around the first week of November and retail pricing has not been released by Research in Motion. However, for comparison the BlackBerry Bold had a retail price of $300 and the 9700 BlackBerry Bold should fall within that range.

The Bold 9700 model from BlackBerry offers more improvements over older BlackBerry models and will provide far more performance with applications and features than older models. The design is simple, but more robust allowing you to manage your life at the palm of your hands.

Be sure to look for rebates from your current cell phone company to trade an old BlackBerry to the new and improved BlackBerry Bold 9700.
