The phone might be a midrange touchscreen phone, but its features would suggest otherwise. There are a few images that have been leaked on the Internet, which shows a representation of the look of the Blackberry Curve Touch. Based on these images one can easily tell that the new BlackBerry phone is not going to deviate too much from the usual BlackBerry look, but will definitely be having a certain zest to it. It does not look anything like the BlackBerry Torch 9800, which forms the cream of the touchscreen phone line up in the BlackBerry range. Instead, it looks more like the normal Curve series of phones without the full QWERTY keyboard, which has been replaced by a touchscreen. The touch screen in the Blackberry Curve Touch is expected to be a 3.25 inch one. It is still not known whether the touch screen can support multiple touches by virtue of being capacitive.
With regard to the screen, only the resolution figures have been flaunted for now and the Blackberry Curve Touch will be having a maximum of 480 x 360 pixels resolution. The operating system that the phone will be running will be even better than the BlackBerry OS 6, which was released a few months ago. It will be running on the BlackBerry OS 6.1, which is not only set to make its appearance in the Blackberry Curve Touch, in other models as well. This operating system will be handled by a QUALCOMM 800 GHz processor. There will be up to 512 MB of RAM, which should offer plenty of processing power.
Micro-SD card support seems to be the forefront of the increased memory capacity that the Blackberry Curve Touch is rumoured to be coming with. Even though the internal memory of the phone is expected to be around only 1 GB, it is expected to come with up to 32 GB memory card support. The biggest difference between this phone and the other BlackBerry models is the lack of a physical full QWERTY keyboard, which has been replaced by a virtual full QWERTY keyboard. Hence, this phone is strictly not for the businessman who uses the keyboard a lot, but for the entertainment lover, who wants a big screen.
