Blackberry Torch Preview - The Design, Features and Applications
The Blackberry Torch May Just Be Rims Lead Back into the Market
Blackberry Torch, Design
The Blackberry Torch carries much of the same design as its predecessors, it still has that full qwerty keyboard, still has many of the same applications you may be used to, and even appears to resemble the other blackberry models. Not much has changed here, with the exception of the addition of a touch screen.
Blackberry Torch, Features and presentation
The Blackberry Torch is certainly a phone to be reckoned with. The Blackberry Torch has, a built in camera, full qwerty keyboard on a slider, and even incorporates the latest in touch screen technology. While all of these great features are present in the latest design for the blackberry torch, the availability of applications still feels like a sincere draw back.
Blackberry Torch, Applications
With such great new phone hardware you could, and many would, expect that the phone would have just as many great applications to go along with the hardware. Yet many of the applications do not support certain functions. While some will work with the touch screen, other Blackberry Torch applications only work with the slider or the keyboard functions.
Blackberry Torch, Functionality
The Blackberry Torch feels a bit different then the typical Blackberry you may be use to. The addition of the touch screen forced RIM to develop a slimmer keyboard, and in doing so they sacrificed some of the texture, and the depth upon the keys you may have been use to. Many Blackberry users may not like this new design, but the changes are more then made up for, by the addition of the slider and touch screen in my opinion.
Blackberry Torch, Personal touch
While it's true that the Blackberry Torch is feature rich in hardware, and currently lacks the software to drive it all in a fully functional way, I would say that they are well on their way to catching up to Apple in terms of software as well. These great new features are sure to drive more developers to the Blackberry market, as well as new users which means more consumer driven applications. You can get your hands on one of these bad boys around August 12Th of 2010 if your savvy enough.
