Blackberry Torch VS IPhone4: Which to Buy?

Anonymous
I currently don't own either of these, but my review of each will help me and others decide which one is better for them. These devices are in essence really fancy cellular phones. So, if you're in the market for something new, something exciting, and something useful, then you should find this review helpful. I'll review their good side and bad, and lastly top it off with their specs.

Research In Motion makes Blackberry Torch. Blackberry is a brand very well known to workers with demanding jobs who are always on the go. The basics include calling capabilities, Internet access, touch screen, a built in camera and a pull out keyboard.

Apple makes the iPhone. Iphone4 is the latest model, which is known to many fans all over the world. The basics include calling capabilities, touch screen, Internet access, and 2 built in cameras. Unlike Torch, there is no physical keyboard.

Torch was given negative reviews recently and is suspected to cause their sales to fall, while iPhone's sales have been going up, even with a well-known antenna - reception issue. Aside from their pitfalls, they do have many advanced features. The Torch for example has 3G, wifi, Bluetooth, GPS, instant messenger, email and the ability to connect to PC or MAC computers. The iPhone4's most loved feature is FaceTime, which is video calling. Both of these devices have Apps, which are programs used on the devices, for just about anything - video, music, web browsing etc.

For those interested in the detailed specifications, the notable ones for Torch includes a 3.2" screen, 5MP camera, about 5 hours of talk time, supports HD playback, 32 ringtones, and supports up to 32GB of storage with a micro SD card. The iPhone4 has a 3.5" screen, 5MP camera, up to 14 hours of talk time, and supports HD playback. One can get either a 16GB model or 32GB model of Iphone4.

The base models for Torch and iPhone4 cost about $200 each. In most cases either one will do just fine. After you purchase your new phone, remember, you can always resell your old one or just recycle it. Lastly, don't forget your accessories especially a carrying case, and protective covers.
