Blackberry vs. iPhone

Darrell Davis
I didn't like him! From the moment he walked into the board room, I just did not like him! He had just a little to much swagger. Dressed just a bit to loud. He came in a little early and wanted to dominate the pre-meeting "hellos" and "boy do I have a tough job" stories. Only, nothing was tough for him. Everything was wonderful. Man I didn't like this guy. I knew we were headed for a showdown!

Our chairperson called our monthly board meeting to order. I made sure I sat right across from Mr. Wonderful! I wanted to see what he had! Sometimes these new members came to the first meeting with nothing on their minds except wanting to dazzle the vets with knowledge that they thought was original. As if we hadn't already considered this or that as it was related to a given issue or problem. Except in this case Anthony (Mr. Wonderful) was knowledgeable. He really did know a lot. Now I really hated him.

Yet, I knew I still had a chance to put this rookie in his place. And then it happened! We had a clash of ideas and the other members stayed out of it as we argued our case. And then it happened as Anthony made his best Perry Mason move yet; he put his cell phone on the table!! I knew he would go there!! Yes! I had him, just as a man at a poker table knew his aces were good, I had him!

All he had was a Blackberry! I slowly pulled out my iPhone and the debate was over. The committee agreed with me. We would donate this year's turkey to Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church!!
