Powers: Blackout has the ability to control and shape what he refers to as the "living darkness". He uses this ability to blind his opponents and then proceeds to slice them to pieces. He has displayed a limited form of teleportation in that he appears able to step into shadows at one point and emerge from others some distance away. On other occasions Blackout has summoned entities apparently constructed of mobile darkness to attack his enemies. Finally, there is his unusual inability to die. Blackout has apparently been killed or completely destroyed on a number of occasions, but he always reappears at some later date, usually to inflict bloody vengeance on those that had killed him.
Background: Blackout is the living embodiment of what most people believe the Superiox stand for: the brutal slaughter of human beings and the absolute conviction that he is a living God on earth. A close acquaintance of the Superiox Thrill Kill, Blackout is one the Superioxs' prime agents of bloody vengeance upon its foes, (although it should be noted, given the loose structure of the Superiox, that the decision on who is and isn't a foe is likely to begin and end with Blackout). Unlike Thrill Kill, however, Blackout can be quite cunning in his methods. While preferring to rend his victims apart with his "living darkness" Blackout has also been known to carry out carefully planned assassinations involving poison, explosives, and even the occasional human agent using guns and/or knives to get the job done.
Blackout has clashed on numerous occasions with Unity agents and has been responsible for the deaths of two Unity Supers as well as several dozen baseline operatives. He is on Unity's Ten Most Wanted List, (coming in at eight), and has been the subject of a Unity Interdiction, (being one of the only four beings known to have survived a Unity Interdiction). While the information he carries as a high ranking Superiox would be invaluable, Blackout is considered far too dangerous to attempt to bring in alive. Blackout is marked with Extreme Sanction and should be handled accordingly.
