Blake Lively Leaked Nude Pictures and Photos Are Fake

Blake Lively leaked nude pictures and photos are creating quite the stir this week. But before fans get excited or ticked-there is a story denying the nude pictures are real. Before we get to that, let's dish out the link of the supposed Blake Lively pictures in question. Perez Hilton has posted several of the leaked nude photos here. The link was working as of 10am CST this morning.

US Weekly was told by the rep for Blake Lively that the leaked nude pictures and photos are fakes! This release of the supposed nude pictures and photos comes on the heels of Blake being spotted with Leo DiCaprio-holding hands. Lively is also set to star in The Green Lantern with Ryan Reynolds on June 17. People might begin to wonder if the timing for these pics is just a little too coincidental. And if they are fake, someone did a tremendous job of posting pics that have a remarkable resemblance with unnoticeable edits.

It certainly adds up for one huge week of publicity, good or bad, for Lively. The Gossip Girl star always seems to keep her name in the spotlight-whether in fashion magazines or who she is currently dating. But apparently she isn't too thrilled about the latest leaked nude pictures and photos. In fact, Lively's rep tells US Weekly that she plans to sue any publication that reprints the "fake" pictures and photos.

What do the pictures look like? Apparently they are from an IPhone and some websites have suggested that the blonde in the pic looks an awful lot like Lively. Lively is the official face of Chanel's Mademoiselle Handbags. So this would obviously be a bad public relations move if the nude pictures and photos were actually real. Perhaps that's why the rep for Lively came to her defense so quickly.

We've seen celebrities use nude photos, sex tapes and other provocative images to further their brand and public recognition in the past few years-especially with the increase of social media. Could this be another case of an actress trying to stir the pot a bit before a major film release? It seems unlikely that Blake Lively needs the publicity. She has everything going for her right now with the potential new love interest in Leo, the new major film with Ryan Reynolds and her Gossip Girl resume. So it seems unlikely any release of nude pictures and photos would come from her doing. But you can never really say never in Hollywood, can you? These are different times and that often calls for different measures. The demand in Hollywood to not only keep your name in the spotlight is greater than ever. If her rep is denying these pictures so quickly and threatening to sue-it does say that Blake and the people surrounding her acknowledge the pictures-which some celebs would not do in this particular case.

As an observer of hot celebrity trends, I find it interesting how these types of leaked pictures, real or not, can create an enormous buzz around a person-particularly females. The slight mention of an appearance in Playboy usually sends shock waves around the nation. The United States is still so caught up in nudity that these potential shots are instant hype for any celebrity. So I think it's safe to say we will see more and more of these leaked nude pictures and sex tapes--real or fake, in the coming future. What we are seeing in the past few years is becoming part of our current culture. Celebrities are manipulating the natural curiosity of what someone looks like in the buff to their advantage. That's not to say that these particular Blake Lively leaked photos are real or fake-but the bottom line is she'll receive a great amount of buzz from those leading into her new movie release. The timing is just ironic.

Look at the entire Erin Andrews peephole video. It was an awful thing that someone actually did-yet it let to an incredible amount of publicity for someone who was probably just blending in as a very good looking live game reporter at ESPN. There needs to be a name for such an event-because it's happening over and over again. Whether intentional or not, there is an incredible curiosity to see the top women in our culture without clothes. That's why stories like this surge to the forefront in front of other more important stories of the day. It's always juicy gossip. And the buzz, whether intentional or not, usually propels that celeb ahead of the rest-at least for the day. So real or not, the Blake Lively alleged nude shots will only move her name up on the latest trends.
