CMA Winner Joins David Nail, Jason Jones, Stealing Angels and Chaparral for Benefit Series

Country music star Blake Shelton will lead a star-studded lineup in a benefit concert series during the 2011 World Ag Expo in February.

The two-day concert series will raise funds for various agricultural organizations, particularly focusing on California farming.

"The International Agri-Center's mission from inception has been to support agriculture through education, by linking buyer and seller, and by sharing important agricultural information," explained Stacey Beachy, director of corporate partnership for the International Agri-Center in Tulare, California (the event venue). "Now we can support agriculture and agriculture families through great country music!"

This year's World Ag Expo Concert Series will run for two days, beginning on February 8th.

On Tuesday, February 8th, World Ag Expo performers include Blake Shelton, Jason Jones and Chaparral.

Chaparral, a popular new country music group, will offer a CD release party ("California Line") at 4:30 p.m. in the 5,300-seat Entertainment Pavilion at the International Agri-Center.

At 6:15 p.m., Jason Jones will perform live in concert, opening the show. Singer and songwriter Jason Jones is a relatively new county music artist. His first single is titled "Ferris Wheel."

Blake Shelton, 2010 Country Music Association (CMA) Male Vocalist of the Year, will take the stage at 7:00 p.m. Blake Shelton has had seven number-one country music hits. His most popular songs include "All About Tonight," "Austin," "The Baby," "Goodbye Time" (a cover version of Conway Twitty's hit), "Hillbilly Bone" (with Trace Adkins), "Home," "I'll Just Hold On," "Nobody But Me," "She Wouldn't Be Gone" and "Some Beach." Blake Shelton is engaged to country music star Miranda Lambert.

Tickets for the World Ag Expo Concert Series on Tuesday, February 8th, range from $40 to $80 (not including $12 admission to the World Ag Expo).

On Wednesday, February 9th, the World Ag Expo will present David Nail, Stealing Angels and a repeat by Chaparral.

Chaparral will again offer a CD release party ("California Line") at 4:30 p.m. in the 5,300-seat Entertainment Pavilion at the International Agri-Center.

The live concert will begin at 6:00 p.m. with David Nail and Stealing Angels.

David Nail, country music singer and songwriter and Grammy Award nominee (For Best Male Vocal Performance), will perform on stage at the World Ag Expo on February 9th. David Nail's most popular songs include "Again," "Clouds," "I'm About to Come Alive," "Looking for a Good Time," "Mississippi," "Red Light" and "Turning Home." He has co-written songs with such country music stars as Kenny Chesney and Gary LeVox (of Rascal Flatts).

Country music band Stealing Angels will also play on February 9th. This American group includes Caroline Cutbirth, Tayla Lynn and Jennifer Wayne. These three performers are descendants of frontiersman Daniel Boone, country music legend Loretta Lynn, and cowboy film star John Wayne. Stealing Angels' producer is Paul Worley (who also produces The Dixie Chicks and Martina McBride).

Tickets for the World Ag Expo Concert Series on Wednesday, February 9th, range from $25 to $65(not including $12 admission to the World Ag Expo).

What in the world is the World Ag Expo?

Beginning in 1968 and now held at the International Agri-Center in Tulare, California (between Bakersfield and Fresno), the World Ag Expo is the largest annual agricultural exhibition in the world. Approximately 1,600 agricultural and farm equipment exhibitors are expected at the 2011 World Ag Expo, which runs from February 8th through February 10th.
