Blank Walls in My Own Prison

Written at My Boring Job

No end in sight.
The monotony of the day,
Has me in total fright.

Staring at a dark, white wall,
And seeing things within.
How far can I travel?
In a space that seems so thin.

Images of my future,
Are haunted by my past.
The years are but a moment,
And the minutes last and last.

So how far does this road go on?
Who has placed me here?
Why must I take a step at all?
I hesitate from fear.

Don't worry if I've gone away,
For it's nowhere that I'm bound.
It's nowhere that I'd rather be,
And I, nowhere has found.
