The Project
LACO is collecting blankets of any colors for men and women, who are currently undergoing chemotherapy every month. These inexpensive blankets can be found at Wal-Mart or Target, plus dollar stores carry some neat ones for less. LACO is hoping these blankets will let patients know that there are people out here, who care about what they are facing. Additionally, our members pray that they will stay warm, during their chemotherapy sessions.
How to Help
On the 28th of each month, we will give out these blankets and other small gifts to patients in local clinics. If you are interested in helping LACO, please contact me personally and I will give you my mailing address. However, if you are interested in making a Gift of Love donation to this project, please contact me for my PayPal information. Any amount of blankets would help us give hope to these courageous patients, who need support and encouragement.
Joining the Project
Furthermore, we hope to offer this program online, but we will need a lot of blankets, gifts, and donations. This way, we have enough to send to the online families, who are in need of one on one encouragement and support. LACO is looking forward to finding volunteers, who want to collect blankets for our Drive in Jan. 2009. Let's make difference now, by touching families with our love and support during their time of need.
