Blessed Thanksgiving

Gather round the table
Family, friends and foes
Let us take a moment
To put aside our woes.

As we gaze upon this feast
We bow our heads in prayer
Giving thanks for all we have
These offerings we share.

Among us sit the wealthy
And the down and out
People from all walks of life
We have differences no doubt.

All conflicts are forgotten
As we thank God for this fare
Grateful for His blessings
And the knowledge that He cares.

In this moment we are equals
Servants one and all
Men, women and children
Responding to His call

To love our friends and family
And enemies likewise
Knowing we're all created equal
In our Loving Savior's eyes.

Grasp hands around the table
Let's take a minute to relay
How extremely blessed we are
On this Thanksgiving Day.
