Chris the Lord Lutheran Church, a Lutheran congregation established in 1979, is located at 1001 Duluth Highway (State Route 12) in Lawrenceville, Georgia, right outside of Atlanta.

English Springer Rescue America, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization which rescues and places English Springer Spaniels in Georgia and surrounding southern states.

This Blessing of the Animals in metro Atlanta will be held in commemoration of St Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals.
