Even as the sun shined high in the sky,
The blind man could only see the darkness of the night,
For his eyes could not tell night or day,
His heart all alone, alone all the way.
The blind man could only see the darkness of the night,
For his eyes could not tell night or day,
His heart all alone, alone all the way.
As he walked with his cane with his outstretched hand,
Hoping that someone would bother to understand,
Hoping that anyone might someday feel his pain,
With his lost sight he didn't have much in life to gain.
Yet he keeps walking with hope undefined,
With hope so crude and unrefined,
For all he has is hope to go ahead in life,
With vision so lost, his hopes to him divine.
