Blind Dates and Their Outcomes

Sebastian Thomas
Have you ever been setup unintentionally with a blind date by a mutual friend? What was your experience from it? I went to a blind date once in my past. I was so excited about how it would possibly turn out that I made my self look my best, wore the best fragrance and made sure I had plenty of money on me just in case I needed it later that night. Usually the hype and excitement before a blind date is more exciting than actually experiencing it yourself. To say the least, I probably will not be one to repeat a blind date, let me tell you.

The girl was totally not my type and we practically had nothing in common whatsoever. I called her several days later to inform her that this would not work out and I just ended it there. Just because a man is a man and a woman is a woman doesn't entirely make the two physically and chemically compatible with each other. Sure, that person may smell great but at the same time the law of attraction may not exist in that particular situation and you may end up sitting in a movie theater or restaurant waiting to rush out of their politely or in a rude manner.

So if you trust your friends choice in this, then go for it. Nevertheless, if you find a good person in a blind date, then I praise and commend you because these things are not usually that easy to accomplish successfully. It is always good to know who you are going out with for the evening. Why can't you just find a person mutually and naturally so that you can have great and intellectual conversations with? Why does it always have to be about surprises?

Blind dates can be an emotional disturbance for some people and a truly great experience for others. Though I have known very few to actually say that a blind date went well for them. Again, you may never know how the outcome will actually turn itself out. I would like to hear some comments below to see how your blind dates went and what was the best or worst scenario you have ever experienced and encountered. This should be quite interesting to hear. So don't hold back on what your experiences were. Everyone has a story to tell about an infamous blind date, so lets hear them!
