Blinded by Love

at first said man was kind, handsome, even could bake
he seemed be deserving - "yes, he'll do"
unbeknownst to her, he did hide his odd shoe
from eyes, thought and even from heart

HE then began wonderment "is she thus not too sharp?
but this problem most certainly, it did not exist
she was bright, inquisitive, always got the jist

no, the problem was not natural,
it was something she self-inflict
but what had she done to blind her from him?
yes LOVE she used, not belime, no nor sin

of course she had deep down knew the oddly born child
but something inside refused to disqualify his 'nice' smile
