Blink-182 Drummer Travis Barker Goes Solo, Debut Album Features Pushead Artwork

Travis Barker -- drummer for Blink-182 , reality television star and self-proclaimed "skate rat" -- is pursing a solo venture. March 15, 2011 marks the release date for his debut album sans Blink-182.

The full-length album, "Give the Drummer Some," will give fans of Metallica, Prong, Corrosion of Conformity and The Misfits an instant visual moment of deja vu.

The album artwork features a skull and crossed drumsticks wrapped in yellowing bandages by artist Pushead. Less commonly known as Brian Schroeder, the artist also writes for skateboarding trade magazines and owns two record labels.

Fans can view the album cover art HERE on Travis Barker's Facebook page. Or HERE on Travis Barker's Twitter account.

The punk-pop-rap album from Travis Barker will feature an eclectic mix of guest vocals from Slipknot's Corey Taylor, Lil Wayne, Paul Wall, Swizz Beatz, Rick Ross, The Game and many others.

The deluxe version of "Give the Drummer Some" will feature 16 tracks, while the regular album has 12 songs, according to a Tweet late last week by Barker.

DGC Records have pre-released two tracks from the album: "Carry It" and "Jump Down." You can get a taste of "Carry It" HERE or "Jump Down" HERE on YouTube.

Barker will begin touring in March or April of 2011, according to his website. The solo venture is a side project for Barker, a full-fledged member of the newly (2009) reunited Blink-182.
