Will I be able to articulate these thoughts from the heart?

You are still part of my soul!

I'd give anything just to hold you again,

It was all me,

Living in "SIN",

I never won but God help me win,

I want your love I thought I had your love,

It's just in a different way,

And then the devil comes in a shoves things in-between you,

Love comes to few and we had it,

I'm glad it came,

2. Is This the Time

Is this how I'm going to go out?

With some punk pulling the strings,

This always brings me too tears,

My worst fears,

It's clear I should have fought harder back in the day,

Now I just pray for a few of those days to fade away,

Maybe this is payback,

Yet it still seems wrong,

I'm doing nothing wrong but bad things happen,

Not tragic things I'm still blessed,

But I must confess I don't have what I dreamed of,

Do dreams ever come true?

I know they do,

I'm positive they do,

I've witness it happen,

It's just not happening to me or for me,

I can see things that could happen but they just don't,

Now I got some kid trying to shove words down people's throat,

So they don't like me who cares?

That would be cool if I wasn't broke,

Well if this is that time I truly am scared to see it come,

But all I can do is pray.

3. Its Coming

Don't rush time it's going to come anyway,

Any day could be your day,

You can't stay away from life if you're living,

You'll stay dead broke and lonely if you're not giving!

4. Its Still Life

When I do this my memory is so clear,

It's like I'm still there,

And you still care,

I got my fire back!

Because you have your desire and love back for me,

Who knows if it's really gone?

In the songs and from what I've heard "Love last forever",

I don't believe we have made it that far yet,

This could just be stormy weather,

It too may pass,

I feel like I do live in a glass house,

You can feel my spirit you read the pain,

It might not seem life threatening but God knows its still life!

5. Last Hope

This right here is my last hope,

So I'm going straight for the throat,

I'm so near giving up at times,

It's like when I was young I was blind,

I passed up all the "Dimes" and got with a "Penny",

Any other of my friends can say the same,

Many other of my friends no her name,

Her name is "Drama",

She is that girl that comes to you when the chips are down,

Most times she creeps in when you're on top of your game,

But all the same "Drama" is her name and drama is what she brings,

If you step in the ring with her get ready for an 18 year fight,

And each round might send you away to jail,

I'll pray for you if you do fall for "Drama",

Because her hopes and dream is to be called your "Baby Momma",

In the beginning its we'll have a life together,

Then it's like "where's my money forget the rest whatever",

"Drama" has no real hopes and dreams,

"Drama" at the club every weekend killing other's dreams,

It seems that's what she is good at,

She will never step up to the bat and admit her wrongs,

Because in the songs she sings she's always right,

But somebody tell "Drama" that's only in her dreams,

You're not a good mother because you see them as chores,

You're the one, who closed doors not them,

As for dad,

You know the one you refer to as "Him",

He pays his money and he spends his time,

But because he is not willing to spend every dime on supporting you he's a dead beat,

When all he does is stand on his feet all day working double shifts just to give the money to you,

It's only a few that do,

The others in jail or prison,

I rather support your entire family then to come up missing,

But I'd rather just support my child needs and wants,

You're not the bottom line and you're not the point,

My Child comes first and second,

I'll have to find a place for you,

I want you doing well because that's good for the baby,

But in the process I can't let you drive me crazy,

You say I'm lazy!

Who works two jobs?

Who sits at home all day while school is in?

You know the answer,

But I can't let this anger for you eat me up like a cancer,

You seem to be doing well also MS "Drama" Queen,

Last time I saw you; you were all fresh and clean,

Name brand this and name brand that,

I even saw you at the mall a few days after work several bags,

What's up with that?

You got money to spend?

While I'm just in the mall trying to depend on friends for rides,

I can't hide my feelings for you,

I don't like you,

I suppose I did,

But back then I was just a stupid kid,

Now I'm attached to you for life,

What a mistake my wife,

God help me,

The child was a blessing but you were a curse,

Not my first but I wish you had been my last,

At least I'd be on my way out,

Cause right now I'm in too deep,

Yeah this is going to make you mad but its all facts,

Like me working and you not,

With that I don't even need proof,

Yeah you handle most of you motherly duties,

But you lack on all your people skills,

You use Daddy to pay the bills,

But you and Daddy haven't been together in years,

Also when Daddy can't buy Christmas it brings him to tears,

Mommy has his money so he can't afford it,

Mommy thinks it's funny and she never gets bored with it,

So many things that you bring to mind but in due time you'll know them all.

6. One Nation

Let me break this down where everyone will relate to me,

The economy is in a bad,

It's got most of us feeling low down and sad,

"Uncle Sam"?

I wish he was "Uncle Dad"; maybe he'd care more,

Maybe that makes no sense to some,

But ask the guy that had a good job not too long ago that's living like a bum,

See if it makes any sense to him?

Forget my color forget my race,

Look at me from the inside no need for a face,

Hard times are not even hard anymore there terrible,

Is there a variable to this mess we are in?

Life happens too all of us,

From the leaders of the nation to the everyday blue collar worker,

People judge leaders for making bad decisions,

But my question is what would you have done in the same situation?

You can't even manage a regular life!

We're all in this together no matter how some try to fight that notion,

One nation.

7. Look What You Done To Me

Baby can you see what you've done to me,

My heart is free,

I can be who I want to be,

I have more confidence with nothing then I had when I thought I had everything,

Your love is on vacation right now I know and that was a hard blow,

But I also know that I love you more then almost anything,

I can bring you happiness,

I want to make you smile,

I'm not obsessed,

I'm in love and you have to invest,

Digest; find a way to explain,

The brain can make up love in almost anything,

But if you don't invest your heart and soul and time,

Then no sweet song or rhyme can help you,

Love is so fragile trust me I know I've seen it shatter a few times,

Love can almost be a crime,

It makes you better and stronger,

I promise that it last longer than anything you have.

8. The Drought

There are some indisputable facts about this lifetime,

You have to absorb pain,

Fight off evil in a resurgent way,

The Plate is set,

No Magic,

Just life,

Things seem very foreign at times,

The difference is who's in control of your mind,

Who's got the power?

Where's your state of mind?

Labor Days in and out,

Serious days make serious droughts

9. The Takeover

First of all, I don't know who you thought you were talking to?

It's outrageous and just plain stupid that we're even discussing this,

You come to me on some silly stuff like I'm a child,

Then when I act a little wild, I broke a law,

Not a real law just a made up slave rule by you,

It's not few that see through you I think everyone does,

No one leaves because the economy is too horrible,

This is a bad situation we're in,

"Feel blessed to have a job, but you hate the one you have",

What a dilemma?

Hard to get out of not easy to get into,

Life is short,

Too short to still be dealing with you,

You're a kid and I'm grown,

You think you own us,

But you must be crazy because you don't own anything over here,

I don't like neither do I fear you,

It's clear you hate me,

It doesn't escape me that you think I'm trapped,

It does seem that way but I'm a grown man not some cheap slave that you think you can harass,

I will go to the news and put all your info on blast,

Racist punks!

You keep us locked in the trunk while you all drive,

Well guess what?

10. This Place Is

Me and J on a late night,

Faded but not too jaded to be on point,

This place is wild but not too much,

Heavy clouds of smoke,

Every move another touch,

Lots of flashing lights,

Can't hear anything but music,

No need to try and talk,

Eye contact and yelling in the ear,

Fear a fight because it's too packed in here tonight,

It's a good time that can turn bad fast,

This only last so long,

When it's over its back to reality,

Use your brain,

Know nothing goods in this place but the music and the crew you came with,

That might not be true, but I knew that it keeps me out of trouble,

This place is.

11. This World Today

Its days like this that seem like a waste,

I want to sip are at least taste victory,

I don't think I even chase victory,

It doesn't chase me,

No need to race me,

You can't replace me,

But they don't want to face me,

See you think I'm a waste see,

You'll end up catching a case with me,

I'm free,

At least I think I am,

Uncle Sam?

Mugger Sam?

Maybe Robber Sam,

Whoever he is, he is starving me and the kids and the fam,

It's people without jobs that feel like they doing prison bids,

I know I feel like I am,

That's how hard it is,

It's one big prison,

Except they don't feed and house you here,

You live in fear because one false move and you'll be on the streets,

No one cares about your tear,

It's a surviving world today and you may or may not make it!

12. Too You

I'm talking straight too you,

I love you no question,

You are my best friend and my heart,

I love you like family,

Things between us never went bad,

It just went,

Not being sensitive got me in trouble,

But it was just things that I didn't know that you could have told me,

Yeah I see that I should have known on my own I take the blame for that,

But I never was the bad guy even you said that,

What I did was stupid but what happen to me was just wrong,

I was so hurt about the entire thing I let it consume my life,

Wife; girlfriend; best friend, I'm taking what I can get from you,

I can't turn love off,

That's like turning time off,

Impossible to do,

My love I truly feel it's true,

I don't want a second chance because I never finished up from the first time,

You do complete me rather you know It or not.

13 War

I let it get the best of me,

Yet I avoid the rest of me,

When is there going to be some rest for me,

I know some people think less of me,

I totally have something else in mind,

Grinding it out doesn't seem to be working,

They jerking me around on the job,

Stay in the streets too long you'll end up getting robbed,

Can't stand being out after dark anymore,

People getting dealt with in the wrong way every night and every day out here,

But you can't live your entire life in fear,

The road is going to be bumpy just watch how you steer,

Keep your heart and your mind clear,

The tears from heaven need to come down too wash me all over,

My shoulder is not made too look over,

It's made too hold the world apparently,

My world not yours,

My problems not yours,

I got my War you got yours.

14 What's The Point

It's hard to make a living being your average guy,

You can try and try but it just don't happen,

Tired of hoping,

Tired of allot of different things,

Staying out of trouble doesn't do the trick,

Nothing happens quick but trouble and problems,

I personally understand good luck and blessings, the recipient of them can't help that they received them,

That's just life,

It's hard to face facts,

Even harder too face mysteries,

Listen to me,

That's kind of what I want,

But more then that I want to make a point.

15. You Bring Things on Yourself

Dam you in love again?

You haven't learned from "Sin"?

Look within yourself and search for some common sense,

It's like you don't have any at all,

You a grown man sitting by the phone waiting for a strange girl to call,

You can't just go for everything,

You can see what this one bring,

She nasty and I can tell,

She gave you all the signals,

What she got to do? Yell,

Your simple living high school days with pimples,

Grow up,

Mature some,

You way older than me and I'm the wiser of the two of us,

You must just be slow,

But you act like you know it all,

So sad,

I really don't feel too bad for you, because you bring things on yourself.
