The thrill of it all,

There are so many risks we take,

Just to make a dollar.

2. Stand Close

Stand close you'll be safe,

From the threat of the enemies harm,

My lucky charm is you.

I personally just don't care,

Life is not fair to the group,

Only a few get that.

What a weak team here,

I don't fear them at all believe,

I fear being out broke.

I never won but God help me win,

6. The Game

I got to understand what time it is,

It's crunch time,

The clock is expiring,

4th quarter,

I'm down,

But I still can win the game as long as I play good defense and make smart plays,

I'll be ok,

Pray every other minute,

Trust in God,

Trust that things will turn out,

The game is tight and they playing rough out here,

I fear the future,

I want to get better at the game,

Who cares if you know my name?

I want someone to see someone thinks the same,

Well I got about 3 or 4 plays left,

I can't believe I'm even playing this game,

It's ashamed,

But I already claim the victory.

7. Eyes on the Prize

Coming back better then I was,

Living life stronger with a cause,

Never wasting time no pause,

Trying not to focus on perfection no flaws,

Money is what the people I know desire so should I?

Only reason I don't is because I must leave it when I die,

If money is meaningless then what is joy and happiness?

If I'm going to spend my days hunting and chasing something it

Should be something meaningful to me,

Not to you,

My success could look like a defeat in your eyes,

It's just you see life as a challenge I see it as a prize!

8. Have You Ever Been Afraid

Have you ever been afraid?

I mean really scared?

Scared that you messed up beyond repair,

That feeling has to be the worse other then death,

Even in my last breath I'll fear that feeling,

The type of fear that twist your stomach into knots,

That fear that won't go away,

Day after day the same stress!

Oh that fear!

How about the shock fear?

The bad news fear!

Don't let anyone tell you they never fear anything because that's a lie!

9 .Setting Me Free

Let me show you what I'm about,

I know that there is a massive drought,

I doubt you have missed,

So many problems you can only imagine how long the list is,

Who do you blame?

Well the question is who don't you blame?

Fame? Yeah right!

I'd rather shine bright in my own world then in the world,

Because my world is cool,

I'm not a fool!

Family second,

God first,

And everything else can wait,

I feel we all have a date with destiny,

Some people just miss the date,

I hate senseless mistakes,

Small things can ruin a big life,

At least try too,

But stay true to you,

I don't know everything but I do know is myself,

When you find you then the world around you opens up,

But you have to take the high road are you'll fold,

Hold on to love,

Never let go of hope,

Try,

Don't be afraid to cry,

Don't chase wealth chase happiness,

Find peace in God,

Those thoughts run thru my brain,

So in this drought there has been allot of rain for me!

God thank you for setting me free!

10. Tired

I can't rest but I'm tired,

Still very much in the game,

Yet retired,

She hired me then fired me,

Life is more than a lover,

More than a sister or brother,

They say all we have is each other!

That's a lie!

All we have is God,

So don't cry,

You ask why try?

Ask somebody else because I don't know,

You better get God to show you the right path,

Who knows where you so called friends are leading you,

Is it jail; hell or both?

Maybe neither,

But how would you know,

A close friend can become a distant enemy,

It's so many I thought would always be a friend to me,

Am I bitter? Yes! But I'm more jaded,

Wasted off of heart break and drunk off of abandonment,

What's going on here?

The last tear fell months ago,

I want to move on but wow!

One day you're here then pow!

Ow I feel the pain still,

Like a steal knife in my life cutting off my happiness!

11. Best Time

Going out with friends,

No ends,

No problems,

No real trouble only fun,

The lights,

The smoke,

No one judging you because we all in the same place,

Look in my face I couldn't feel cooler,

I got my crew,

A few strangers,

A few people I don't care for,

But just for this time who cares?

I don't,

I am enjoying the music the moment,

This is the best time.

12. Never Done

Darkness has fallen,

Shadows in the moonlight,

So "Beautiful",

So dreamy,

It seems too good,

I know I should enjoy this very moment,

Oh love,

Oh passion,

Oh pleasure,

All those things wrapped up into one,

I wish this was never done.

What are you thinking?

Apparently nothing,

You better get something going!

That's a lie!

Because time with no money will leave you high and dry,

So not only will I waste time, but I'll make an enemy,

This is me now,

What a change,

Same name,

Same game,

New shame,

I'm trying now,

Thru the pain,

Money no fame,

I think she's insane,

She's stressing my brain,

My hearts ok,

It was broken,

Now it's fixed but still hurts,

Just friends no flirt,

What!

Life's confusing and so am I,

High!

Don't want to die,

The truth no lie,

Figure me out,

Well you can try.

15. Your Time

Sometimes it's so clear,

Then other times its dark as night,

Sometimes you can see beyond sight,

Then other times you only believe what you hear,

There are those special moments where you wish they would last forever,

Then there are times you wish never even happened,

So many ups and downs,

So many changes,

The danger is letting time get the best of you,

Enjoy life even through hard times,

Time is time rather it's good or bad,

And one day you'll wish you had even some of the bad times back,

Attack life with a passion,

With a goal and a purpose,

It's so hard to work hard but that's the only way,

Pray for wisdom,

Pray for faith,

Start with those two I promise you'll be safe.
