Blog and Website SEO, Putting Your Key Words in Your Footer

Many Bloggers and Even Website Owners Forget to Put Their Key Words in the Footer of Their Site

In some ways Google and other search engines are like kids reading a book. Only in our case the book is our blog or website. Kids remember the first page or so, and the last pages.

But the middle is a big bunch of stuff they never remember! With search engines it's like they read:

How to train your dog, dog training is good,,,,, blah blah blah blah, blah blah,,,,,, so train your dog right for a well trained dog!

Ok so maybe it's not quite like that. But the fact is what a search engine reads first and last is a big deal. The very last thing a SE reads is what's in your footer.

So if your blog or website is about dog training, it's great you remembered to put a few sentences on training dogs on top. But if the last thing that SE reads is: "proudly powered by wordpress", that's not good!

You need to put a general description of what your blog or site is about in the footer for keyword SEO. With bloggers most never touch their footer which is a mistake. NOW, I don't mean you should just put keyword spam in your footer.

I hate it when I see websites with tiny font in their footer and 200 key words all jammed in there. SE's will see that as spamming and keyword stuffing. You want to make it good keyword SEO.

Just write a general wrap-up of what your site is about. In the case of the dog training site, use something like this:

"Find out all about training your dog here. Learn the latest dog training tips and tricks for a well trained dog. Read the newest dog training news and dog training devices reviews here."

That will be the LAST thing Google and other SE's read as they leave your site. Putting keywords in your footer that make SENSE will boost your rankings and keyword SEO.
