This article discusses some common uses for blogs and three basic suggestions for how to make your blog interesting and fun for your audience.
Individuals and businesses may use the blog as a tool to market products and services and to attract customers to their web site. One strategy is called search engine optimization (SEO). If a blog features entries that are rich in key words, then a Google search can attract customers to the blog's web site. If the web site owner has other information on the web site beyond just the blog, customers can click on the web site content to learn more. Another option is to create a blog rich in keywords to attract clicks from Google searchers. If the blogger arranges to have Google AdSense advertisements on their blog site, they can earn money from Google for the clicks they generate.
The three basic tips for blogging are suggested here with the blog reader in mind. When you set up your blog, there are three tips for making your blog attractive. You want to offer interesting content, present your information in an easy-to-use format, and include links to other web sites that will help readers to find more information.
The first task of providing interesting content on your blog is a real challenge. You can use graphics and pictures to make the text of your blog entries more appealing. The format or layout of your blog site should be eye-catching and user friendly. Select a template from popular blog sites like Blogger or use a web page program to develop your own unique layout. Including links to your web site within your text is easy once you get the hang of it. For example, if you write an entry about the best shampoos for German shepherds, you can provide links to where you got your information as well as links to web sites that sell each shampoo product.
The blog is a great tool for business and personal uses. Some people use blogs to communicate solely with friends and family about their lives. Others use blogs to generate public awareness of their new product (i.e. a new book). Whatever use you intend for the blog, you can find many free resources on the Internet to create the best blog you can imagine. There are an infinite number of possibilities. Your biggest challenge is to provide interesting content.
