Blogging: The New Way of Journaling

Just about everyone has a blog now days. Okay, maybe not everyone, but whole lot of you do. What exactly is a blog? According to my pal, Mr. Webster, a blog is a "website that contains an online personal journal with reflections and comments". Source: Merriam-Webster.com. It could also mean weblog. A log you keep on the web.

Blogging is used for many purposes. It is a great way to keep in contact with your family and friends. You can reach several people at one time. You can update them on what is going on with your life and your families lives. You can even add some pictures. It is a great way to keep in touch.

Blogging is also a great hobby. Some what addicting too I might add! You can even make a few bucks with a blog. Some companies will pay you for having their ads featured on your blog. I am sure you won't get rich that way, but in today's economy every little bit helps.

Another great use for a blog is to document your journey. This journey could be several things. Perhaps your on a weight loss journey. A blog is a great motivator for yourself and for others who read it. You can see the progress you are making and helping others along the way. It could also be a journey of a mission you are on. Maybe you are traveling and you want to document your journey. A blog is great way to keep those memories alive while sharing them with others.

When you have a new baby a blog is a great tool to keep everybody updated on the little one. There are many applications you can add to your blog that can keep a record of the baby's weight and height. You can upload some pictures and share what a blessing your baby is with others. This is especially great when the Grandparents live far away.

You could even start a blog about your home based business, or any business for that matter. It is a good way to keep customers updated on new products and new information. It is a great way to advertise and reach many people who otherwise you wouldn't be able to reach.

You can probably think of many other reasons why you would like to blog. That is what is so great about blogging. It is your blog. You can blog about whatever you like!
