1. Knowledge

Teacher says or asks: IDENTIFY what happened that caused the misunderstanding.

2. Comprehension

Teacher says or asks: Briefly SUMMARIZE this story in your own words.

Students Respond: Accept reasonable re-telling of this story.

3. Application

Teacher says or asks: GIVE AN EXAMPLE of the parts of the role-play that DEMONSTRATE a passive response to conflict.

Students Respond: Gossip, False accusation but in a relatively calm tone of voice.

4. Analysis

Teacher says or asks: COMPARE and CONTRAST what the friendship between Bob and Becky, Bob and George, and possibly Bob and Ben would have been like if Bob had not checked his facts.

Students Respond: Accept Reasonable Answers

5. Synthesis

Teacher says or asks: VISUALIZE and SUGGEST other times (in your life or the life of your family or friends) when misunderstandings have happened due to the wrong choice of words or due to words that were misheard.

Students Respond: Accept Reasonable Answers

6. Evaluation

Teacher says or asks: PRIORITIZE the steps one should follow when one hears that a rumor (either true or false) has been spread about you.
