Blows of the Devil

Haven't you ever noticed that when just as you think things are going just right, horrible things begin to happen? I don't mean just little things but big horrible things. These are the devil's blows.

If you are not careful to recognize what these things are, you will fall into the trap of depression, anxiety, and even and even physical illness. You will begin trying to figure out why these things are happening when just yesterday everything was fine. You can literally make yourself go crazy trying to fix things.

This is the time, we need to look deep within ourselves and pray. This is the time when you need to grab your faith. This is the time when you need to listen to the Holy Spirit. We need to recognize the blows of the devil and stop him dead in his tracks before his blows double us over where we can't get up. We need to share our burdens with our brothers and sisters in Christ and stand in agreement with them. We need to seek advice from others who have gone through the same situation but have succeed and come through it without a scratch.

The blows of the devil are only a ploy to see how strong your faith in God is. Recognize it for what it is. Use your tools of faith and prayer and stand on God's word and God will bring you out of a horrible situation no matter how big or small. Our emotions and rationalizations get in the way of thinking God's way and we begin to do things in the world's way. Before you react think and read the Bible, God's word will speak to you and tell you what you need to hear. When you hear it, obey it.

Use your Bible as a weapon to block the blows because once you let those blows affect you, it becomes that much more difficult to stop the blows that follow. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. Stand firm in your beliefs and your faith and in God's word, you too will be able to testify to others about how you conquered the devil. You too will be able to help others stand up to the blows of the devil.
