When I saw the trailers for the new cop series "Blue Bloods" I was already hooked. Already having my DVR set to tape each and every show so one would not be missed. "Blue Bloods" has not let me down since the first showing.

"Blue Bloods" is one of those shows everyone should watch. Not only is the show exciting and keeps the heart pumping it also gives the public a great view of the hardships that our men in Blue experience.

Not the common shoot'em up cop show, "Blue Bloods" gives viewers the experience of an entire family of crime fighting, prosecuting, and individuals. "Blue Bloods" gives us a look at the decorated police commissioner, street cop, detective and even a district attorney in the family. Not one of these tough guys and gals is so tough not to feel the pain and sorrow of those on the streets while doing their job.

"Blue Bloods" is not a tear jerking show but one that opens the door to viewers showing us how life as a crime fighter truly is. In New York City we see realistic crime fighting at its best with "Blue Bloods".

Filmed in the streets of New York City viewers can let themselves imagine the power struggle that takes place in this city. Star's Tom Selleck plays Police Commissioner Frank Reagan, Donnie Wahlberg as one of Reagan's sons the detective, Danny, Bridget Moynahan playing Erin Commissioner Reagan's district attorney daughter, Will Estes as rookie officer, Jamie, also a son in the mix, Len Cariou as Henry, Frank's father and retired police commissioner.

"Blue Bloods" is filled with police action and family ties side by side. Each evening a dinner is enjoyed by all of the Reagan family members except the deceased brother/son. While Henry gives the family of New York City Police tips on the streets and how to fight crime, father Frank keeps the peace between Danny and his rookie son Jamie since both their ideas on police work seem to be on opposite sides of the spectrum.

The show has a twist that touches on the internal workings of the Police Department of New York. Two FBI agents have approached Jamie stating that his brother Joe was killed while assisting them with their investigation into the NYC Police Department's secret society called the Blue Templar. Joe has not taken the bait and is not answering their calls.

Each weekly show has a different plot and is filled with crimes to be solved and prosecuted while keeping tightly focused on the family unit of the Reagan's and their lives with the New York City crime fighting leagues. Action packed and filled with some emotional moments "Blue Bloods" is a great series.
