Blue Bunny Double Strawberry Ice Cream Review

Amy Brantley
It's no secret that I love ice cream. It doesn't matter if it's the middle of winter or summer, there is always ice cream in my freezer. Last night I was in the mood for some ice cream, but not sure which flavor I wanted. I scanned the freezer aisle and nothing seemed to call my name. I then noticed a carton of Blue Bunny Double Strawberry Ice Cream. Something about it looked oh so tasty and refreshing. But, would it live up to the picture and description?

The description of Blue Bunny Double Strawberry Ice Cream stated that it was a strawberry ice cream with slices of strawberries and a strawberry swirl. It sounded delicious. Plus, it seemed like it would be a nice change from ice cream loaded with chocolate, nuts and candy.

I was very impressed with Blue Bunny Double Strawberry Ice Cream. It didn't just have slices of strawberries, I actually come across whole halves of berries. That was a wonderful surprise and the strawberry swirl was perfectly sweetened and not overbearing. The ice cream was also extremely creamy. For a middle of the road ice cream, this Blue Bunny flavor was awesome.

A serving of Blue Bunny Double Strawberry Ice Cream is half a cup. This serving contains 140 calories, 6 grams of fat, 4 grams of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans-fat, 25mg of cholesterol, 40mg of sodium, 120 of potassium, 20 grams of carbohydrates, 18 grams of sugar, 2 grams of protein, 4% of your daily Vitamin A, 8% Vitamin C, 8% riboflavin, 8% calcium, 4% Vitamin B12 and 6% phosphorus.

I would have to give Blue Bunny Double Strawberry Ice Cream 5 out 5 stars. Not only is this ice cream delicious, but I highly recommend it because it doesn't contain high fructose corn syrup. More companies should follow in Blue Bunny's steps and do the same. If you like strawberry ice cream, chances are you'll love this product. Give it a try. Blue Bunny is often on sale and even at regular price costs around $5 for a 1.75 quart container.

Thanks for the review, Amy. I'm with you. I also like to purchase products without High Fructose Corn Syrup added. I'm glad you enjoyed the ice cream.

Hi Amy, I've never heard of Blue Bunny. Is it a southern label; like blue bell? will I be able to find it in Florida? Anyway, I am dying to try it now. Great review.

Good review, Amy. I used to like chocolate better than strawberry but lately I've been enjoy strawberry rather than chocolate. I'll have to try Blue Bunny.
