Blue Cocktails and Mixed Drinks for Your Wedding

Megan King
Selecting the perfect mixed drinks for a wedding is never easy. You want something that isn't outrageously expensive, something that can be mixed fairly universally, and something that everyone is going to enjoy. Here are some of my personal favorites, which are pretty much perfect for any occasion, including a wedding:

The Blue Lagoon

In a highball glass with ice, simply combine

• 1 oz Vodka
• 1 oz Blue Curacao

Then fill Lemon Lime Soda and add a cherry. It's simple but scrumptious!

Blue Hawaii

This one is very simple, but also very cute, and it's always a crowd pleaser. It's perfect for guests who like the type of drink where it's difficult to taste the alcohol. Be sure to wait until the end to add ice, and in a mixing glass, combine the following ingredients:

• 1 oz Rum Light
• 1/2 oz Blue Curacao
• 1/2 oz Cream
• 3 oz Pineapple Juice

Next, simply shake and strain over ice. This one is typically served in a Collins glass with either cherry, pineapple or both as a garnish.

Blue Cooler Cocktail

The Blue Cooler is a little bit stronger than the last, but it's still considerably easy and definitely delicious. Just put ice into a mixing glass with the following ingredients:

• 1 oz Blue Curacao
• 1 oz Vodka
• 1/2 oz Lime Juice
• 1/2 oz Lemon Juice

Next, fill up a Collins glass half way with ice, and fill it in with Orange Juice. Then, just shake, strain, and stir. Your best bet for a garnish would be either a lemon twist or an orange twist.

The Blue Wave

It's one of the easiest options out there. Simply fill a highball glass one quarter of the way with ice. Add 2 oz of Blue Curacao, and then top off the glass with lemonade.

Frozen Blue Daiquiri

What's a party without a few daiquiris? For the perfect blue daiquiri, simply scoop some ice to a blender and add:

• 2 oz Rum Light
• 1/2 oz Blue Curacao
• 1/2 oz Lime Juice

Next, just blend and pour. Served in a chilled sour glass, this one is unbeatable.

Blue Marlin Cocktail

In a mixing glass with ice, add the following:

• 1 oz Rum Light
• 1 oz Blue Curacao
• 2 1/2 oz Sweet/Sour Mix

Next, just shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Blue Margarita

In a blender with ice, add

• 1 oz Tequila
• 1/2 oz Blue Curacao
• 1 1/2 oz Sweet/Sour Mix

Lastly, blend and strain into a margarita glass and garnish with a lime slice.

Blue Popper

Served in a shot, layer the following:

• 1 oz Tequila
• 1/4 oz Blue Curacao

It's slightly strong, but totally worth it!

Blue Gumball Cocktail

The name definitely suits this drink well because it literally tastes like candy. It's sweet but not sickening, and overall, it's pretty much ideal. Simply fill up a mixing glass with ice and add the following:

• 1 oz Vodka
• 1 oz Amaretto
• 1 oz Banana Liqueur
• 1 oz Blue Curacao
• 1 1/2 oz Lemonade
• 2 oz Water

Next, just shake and strain, and again, this one is best served in a Collins glass. A garnish really isn't necessary, but if you want that cute little extra touch, then go for a twist of lemon.

Blue Sunshine

It's easy, cheap, and tasty! In a highball glass with ice, combine

• 2 oz Blue Curacao
• 1/2 Fill Orange Juice
• 1/2 Fill Lemonade

Then, just stir and enjoy!
