You can manage your weight with almonds because they will fill you up. A quarter cup of almonds contains nearly 25% of the daily value of magnesium plus 257 mg of potassium. Magnesium is a natural channel blocker for calcium. Potassium is important for good circulation. There has been twenty years of data studied on over 80,000 women from the Nurses' Health Study showing women who eat least 1 ounce of nuts, peanuts or peanut butter each week have a 25% lower risk of developing gallstones. So, all in all almonds are great for our hearts and bodies. Hey, let's not forget they taste great too!
