Blue Moon Cafe in Shepherdstown, West Virginia - Favorite of Veggie Lovers

The Blue Moon Cafe is located in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. Shepherdstown, West Virginia is home to the Shepherd University, which is where you will find the Blue Moon Cafe. The Blue Moon is located just off of campus across from White Hall for those of you familiar with the campus. It's close proximity to the campus makes it a favorite lunch spot for the students. The Blue Moon Cafe offers a wide variety of cafe style food including a special menu for the veggie lovers. It has a nice atmosphere and average prices.

The best time to visit the cafe is after the lunch crowd. Since it is a favorite among the college scene it tends to be packed around lunch time. I have found the best time to visit is after 2 pm. I have never had a problem getting a seat after two. Although anytime you go you may have to park up the street since the cafe it self only has a parking lot to accommodate about five cars.

The Blue Moon's food is wonderful with a wide variety there is surely something foe everyone including the veggie lovers. The Blue Moon has done some wonderful things with veggie dishes. My favorite is their black bean dip. A combination of black beans, cheese and spices makes the perfect appetizer when paired with their pita chips. The Blue Moon has other great dishes as well. They have terrific salads and sandwiches. They also have a wide variety of beverages.

The Blue Moon has a great atmosphere, including one solarium style room. Surrounded by windows you ca sit and take in the beauty of the Shepherd University Campus. This is also a family friendly cafe. The wait staff is very attentive to your needs in fact they usually already know our beverage orders before we even ask. They have a great memory and even address us by our names. Take in mind that I am not that frequent of a customer, I may visit once a month. The extra mile they go to insure our satisfaction is definitely noticed.

The Blue Moon also has a wonderful dessert menu. With a case out front displaying all the treats they are sure to entice you to take a bite. This cafe is reasonable priced. This would be a necessity since it is a favorite hot spot for the college campus. I would highly suggest if you find yourself in Shepherdstown, West Virginia maybe you will be site seeing or hiking the canal to stop in for a late afternoon lunch. You will be pleasantly surprised what a little cafe can offer.
