Working with mosaics can sound a little intimidating, but you will be pleasantly surprised how easy it really is!

To make Blue Willow Ware Mosaic Kitchen Counter Tops you will need to spread it out over a couple days; so working over the weekend will probably work best. While you won't be working on the craft project all day long, you do need to allow for time for materials to dry.

To Make Blue Willow Ware Mosaic Kitchen Counter Tops You Will Need:

Grout

Tile Adhesive

Blue Willow Plates

Hammer

Sand paper

The first step is to clean your kitchen counter tops. Now, if you are working around a sink you will need to go ahead and remove it. Once you are finished you can re install it on the counter tops.

Everyone will have a different sized kitchen counter tops, so I can only give you tips on how to know how to make your Blue Willow Ware Mosaic Kitchen Counter Tops.

The entire counter tops will be covered in tile made from Blue Willow Plates.

Now, you need to establish the pattern or lack of pattern you want to create on your Blue Willow Ware Mosaic Kitchen Counter Tops. Personally, I like a random pattern, but that is up to you. If you have the time you could try cutting your Blue Willow Ware plates into small square tiles.

The first step is to take your vintage blue willow plates and put them inside of a paper bag or pillowcase. Lightly break them with a hammer until you have tons of small tile pieces. Now, I would use a white grout for a vintage or traditional look. This will continue the white that is in the Blue Willow Plates. You can buy grout in almost any color imaginable.

Use a trowel to apply the grout liberally over each Blue Willow Plate tile o the kitchen counter tops. Let it dry to a haze, then wipe a way with a sponge until clean and clear.

Now, once the grout has dried on your Blue Willow Ware Mosaic Kitchen Counter Tops you are finished.
