Bluebird Singing

Coffee Mugg

There are no messages,
There are always messages.
Look around you,
What do you see?
A bluebird,
Singing in a tree.
So happy, as happy,
As he can be.

He struggles each day,
To find food for himself,
No time to play,
No cans on the shelf.
How can he be so happy,
With the struggles of life?
He jumps around sprightly,
Looking for a wife.
His song is so beautiful,
Though there are no words.
As if his food were plentiful,
His song is for other birds.

Springtime is coming,
I'm sure he is saying.
Enough of this winter,
Time to start playing.
So when there is no message,
Look around to find,
A bluebird singing,
Maybe in the pine.

Talking with you this morning,
Inspired this little poem,
No more time for mourning,
Lets go beat the drum.
Let everyone know you're happy,
Let everyone see you smile.
Let everyone know you're ready,
To go that extra mile.
Bluebird singing,
His happy song,
I am sure he is saying,
It's here, where you belong.
