Blushing with Tan Skin: Blush Make Up Tips

Kelley Davis
There are a lot of people out there who love to have tan skin. Some get theirs by being out in the summer sun and other get theirs in a tanning bed. No matter how you get the tan, you have to adjust your makeup to match your new skin tone. The most difficult thing to adjust is blush color. Many of us remember the old test for which color of blush we need: lightly pinch your cheek and the color that results is the color you want. You can still perform this test with tan skin, but the color can be hard to gauge depending on your level of tan. One way around this is to use a bronzer instead of typical blushers. Bronzers usually contain some shimmer which reflect light and highlight. You can apply bronzer all over your face and or simply brush it on your cheekbones to give the same effect as a blusher. Here are a few of the best out there:

1. Bare Minerals Faux Tan All-Over Face Color - Bare Minerals is known for their ease of application and seamless blending. Their bronzer can add a tanned look to anyone, but also highlight if you already have a tan.

2. Arbonne No Sun Intended Bronzer - this bronzer blends with any skin tone. It is simply amazing. Brush it all over and then add a little more to your cheekbones for the perfect sun-kissed look.

4. Benefit Dallas - This is a bronzer and a blush in one. Sweep it on all the areas you want a natural looking glow.

3. Physicians Formula Pearls of Perfection - These little multicolored balls provide a nice even glow in a fun way. The color can also be applied to just the cheekbones to highlight. The best part about this one is that it's available at your local drug store.
