Exercise boosts your energy:
A few minutes of stretching or a brisk 10 minutes walk can help you perk up. Also it helps you sleep better. Over the years, we have been experiencing short period of sleep, which can be lengthened through exercise. If you exercise regularly you will fall asleep faster and stay asleep.
Exercise helps in keeping you calm:
People, who exercise regularly, do not experience high blood pressure problem during stressful situations. It means you will be able to handle stressful situations more patiently without affecting your health and mind.
Physical complaints:
People, who exercise regularly, have fewer physical complaints. They are less prone to diseases and strains. A person who exercises regularly is always physically fit than the person who does not exercise at all.
For women:
It helps in easing chronic pain and relieves menopausal hot flushes.
Healthy heart:
Moderate exercise can improve your cholesterol profile. Any physical activity done consistently strengthens your heart and keeps artery walls supple. It also increases your muscle to fat ratio which means a faster metabolism, since muscles burn far more calories than fat does, even when you are sitting still.
Reduces cancer risks:
If you exercise regularly chances of colorectal cancer, lung cancer, breasts cancer and prostate cancer are reduced to a great extent. Women who exercise for at least four hours a week are half as likely to develop breast cancer as those who do not exercise at all.
Strong bones:
If you exercise more, your bones will grow denser particularly if you do strength training and high impact activities like jogging. Women over 50 years of age who do strength training two or three days a week for one year will be able to increase their bone density by 1%.
Life span:
If you will stay fit, you will surely have a longer life span. Healthy body means healthy mind.
