Boa Vista Orchards One of the Best Spots in Apple Hill in California

If you live in the Sacramento area then you probably have been up the 50 to Apple Hill at one time or another. Apple Hill literally has over 100 farms and orchards. The problem with having so many places is some are good and some are not that good. So how are you supposed to know which places are good and which are bad? All you need to do is read on to find out.

Boa Vista Orchards is one of the most popular Apple Hill locations at Apple Hill. Boa Vista Orchards is located at 2952 Carson Road, Placerville, California. Boa Vista Orchards is one of the popular spots at Apple Hill but it is not as big as High Hill Ranch the other top spot in Apple Hill. While Boa Vista Orchards may not be as big as High Hill Ranch it does have some advantages over High Hill Ranch.

Boa Vista Orchards has many of the same foods as High Hill Ranch. Of course there are lots of apples. They also have lots of apple products. They have all kinds of apples, pies, fritters, and more. One thing that is nice about Boa Vista Orchards is that it is not as crowded as High Hill Ranch. Boa Vista Orchards is also cheaper then High Hill Ranch. The pies are a little cheaper and they have a great barbecue sandwich that's is only $5 for a whole or $3.50 for a half compared to the high price of $8 at their competitors and they include chips and a drink for the whole sandwich. The parking is small here but there is lots of parking nearby and it is easier to get close parking then at High Hill Ranch.

Boa Vista Orchards does have lots of things going for it but I prefer the apple donuts at High Hill Ranch to Boa Vista Orchards. The High Hill Ranch donuts have real bits of apple in the donut. They also do not give you a discount for buying a dozen. One other problem is that while they have cider they do not make their own fresh like High Hill Ranch does. The property is also not as big so they do not have things like a pond.

Boa Vista Orchards is a great spot though. If you have time to go to a couple of places in Apple Hill then Boa Vista Orchards has to be one of them.
