Fishermen who like going out in their boats are always looking for boat ramps that are easily accessible and provide ease while putting their boats in the water. Paved ramps are good, but if the un-paved ramps are well kept, then they can be just as good.
A lot of the boat ramps give access to salt water fishing, but you can find them at Lake Manatee if you're interested in fresh water fishing. If you want to go even further, you can also try Lake Okeechobee for fresh water fishing.
For fisherman, it's not important about the amenities at boat ramps, because their main purpose for being there is to go fishing, but if your family happens to come with you, but doesn't want to go fishing on the boat, then it would be nice to a place where picnic tables and restrooms are offered.
These boat ramps are the responsibility of the Parks Department for Manatee County, so if you have any questions, please call the number listed. It's the same for each boat ramp.
