Lake Monroe Boat Rental, located in the General Store in the Paynetown State Recreation Area, is the best place to go for any type of boat rental. They have everything from double-deckers with slides and skiing boats to canoes and fishing boats. Their biggest pontoon is 34 feet long and holds 24 people. It can be rented by the hour, being $85 for the first hour and $50 for each additional hour. You can rent it for the day for $390 or for 24 hours for $410. There is a $300 deposit and a fuel fee of $3/hour. Their ski boats have a six-person capacity and can also be rented by the hour for $85 or all day for $460. There is a $300 deposit for these as well, and a fuel fee of $7/hour. They even offer water accessories, such as skis, tubes, knee boards and wake boards to round out your day of fun. Lake Monroe Marina, located on the east side of the causeway at the Cutright State Recreation area just five minutes from Paynetown, is another place to get great recreation boats. From party boats and pontoons to slip rentals to gas services, they have everything you need for an outing of fun in the sun. Try out their Partytoons, huge double-decker pontoons equipped with a water slide. Partytoons can be rented for $40.00/hour with a two-hour minimum and $150 deposit. You can rent for the day for $206 Mon-Thurs, or $284.40 Fri-Sun. They also offer overnight rentals with a two day minimum. Smaller pontoons holding up to eight people can be rented during the day from 9am-6pm for $150 Mon-Thurs or $206 Fri-Sun. Be sure to ask about their lunch packages to go, or feel free to bring your own grill, as long as it's gas. You must be 24-years-old and have a valid driver's license to rent a boat.
